H is for Home

Having moved around a bit, the concept of home is sometimes lost on me. People will ask me where I'm from, but I can never answer the question easily. Yes, I could easily answer with where I live or with what school I go to, but that isn't really where I'm from.

I don't feel like I have much of home, but truth is, that doesn't bother me. I want to not only see the world, I want to live in it. And if that means sacrificing the idea of having a home, that is alright. Cause, maybe truly, being homeless lets me be free.

  1. Home is where the heart is... Or at least that is what they say. I guess the important thing is to have a home within you.

  2. My daughter bought me a night shirt the other day that says "Home is where mom is." Kind of a paraphrase of the old "home is where your heart is" thing. So, home can take on all kinds of meanings. - Barbara

  3. Home can be a place of security, but it can also be very limiting. I admire those who pull up stakes and go wherever life takes them!

  4. I absolutely relate to that, a few years ago I came to Chester the minute i stepped out of the train station it simply felt like home, sadly it is not a permanent feeling, but you will get it when you least expect it :)
